Can you share a little about your life journey?
I’m originally from Montreal, but I’ve been established in Gaspésie since January 12, 2016! Like my colleague Arnaud, I was involved body and soul during the 2012 student strike. I took part in numerous demonstrations and all the tasks that came with this landmark involvement in my life. From this genesis began my journey in the student movement, which lasted over 11 years (January 2011 to September 2022). I’ve held several positions in this involvement: responsible for pedagogical, socio-political, institutional, administrative and environmental affairs, vice-president and president of the CEGEP de Gaspé student association (AGECGI), from 2016 to 2022. I was coordinator of socio-political affairs for the Fédération étudiante collégiale du Québec for 2020-2021. I was spokesperson for the Alliance Régionale Étudiante de l’Est du Québec for two terms (2019-2020 and 2022). Through this student involvement, I also got involved in the community to bring the inclusive ideal into people’s daily lives. I studied in three programs : Human sciences – profile society, childhood education and special education. It took me 9 years to finish college. As the saying goes: CEGEP is either the 2 worst years of your life or the 7 best years of your life. I worked two summers as an animator at mi-Chemin.
