Come decorate our new Book Cruncher

Vision Gaspé-Percé Now, in collaboration with the Douglastown Community Centre, is asking the children of Douglastown to come and help us decorate our new Book Cruncher on Saturday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m. Book Crunchers are drop-off points that offer children and their families free access to shared books. This activity will take place at the Douglastown Community Centre, we encourage children to bring books that they no longer use and would like to donate.

Community Breakfast

On Sunday September 17th, at the Douglastown Community Center, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., we welcome everyone to our monthly breakfast. Join friends and neighbors for an excellent breakfast with a traditional menu. $8 for adults (12 & over), $4 for children (5-11 years) would be appreciated (ages 4 and under, free). There will be a few nice changes to our menu.

Storytelling evening

On Monday September 18th at 7:00 p.m. Les semeurs de contes, a group of eight story tellers are finishing their walking tour in Gaspé; and they will be having an evening of storytelling at the Douglastown Community Center. There is one spot for a local story teller! Let us know if you want to be part of this evening. Every summer since 2013 this group has walked from Montreal, enchanting villages along their way with wonderful stories. Please join us for an evening filled with all kinds of emotions. Voluntary contribution. There will possibly be a few stories in English. For information, please call us at 418-368-0288.
