Celtic music show at the Holy Name Hall

On Saturday, August 5th at 8 :00 pm, as part of the pre-programming of the Festival Musique du Monde, we will host the Montreal group Irish Bastard for a performance in the Holy Name Hall. They will make you sing and dance with their traditional celtic and bluegrass music. Don’t let the name fool you, you will really appreciated their style ! The entrance fee is $420, a bar service will be offered.


Fish cakes supper

On Saturday, August 12th at 5:30 pm, we invite you to come and enjoy a good meal, have a few laughs and share some old memories! This activity requires lots of hands ! Old and new volunteers will be welcomed with open arms. We would need people for the service, clean up and dishes. If you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible to give us your availabilities! Ages 12 and + $12   5-11 years $6 years and – $3


Community Breakfast

On Sunday, August 20th from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, we encourage you to bring your friends and relatives on vacation to come and discover your Community center and enjoy our monthly breakfast. A voluntary contribution of $7 for adults (12 & over), $4 for children (5-11 years) would be appreciated (ages 4 and under, free).


Cello initiation courses

Cello initiation courses will be offered at the Douglas community center from 1st to August 30th. Herbal teas (tisane) and biscottis will be served at each session. You can choose the number of hours you would like from 1 to a maximum of 4 hours. The cost is 35$ per hour. A meeting will be organized before the first course for sharing your expectations and for preparing your personal schedule with the teacher.
