Community Breakfast

On Sunday, July 16th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., we welcome everyone to our monthly breakfast. Join friends and neighbors for an excellent breakfast with a traditional menu. A voluntary contribution of $7 for adults (12 & over), $4 for children (5-11 years) would be appreciated (ages 4 and under, free).

Garden Visit

The Blais-Morins’ – at 1000 Douglas Boulevard – are hosting their 43rd open garden visit on Sunday July 30th from 10:00am to 4:00 pm. A voluntary contribution to benefit the Douglas Community Center would be appreciated. In case of rain, the visit will be postponed to Sunday, August 6th.

Cello initiation courses

Cello initiation courses will be offered at the Douglas community center from July 2nd to August 30th. Herbal teas (tisane) and biscottis will be served at each session. You can choose the number of hours you would like from 1 to a maximum of 9 hours. The cost is 35$ per hour. A meeting will be organized before the first course for sharing your expectations and for preparing your personal schedule with the teacher. Kitchen Party – Shamrock Golden Age Club

On Sunday, July 23rd at 7h30 p.m, the Shamrock Golden Age Club will be hosting an informal concert at the Holy Name Hall in Douglastown. The entrance fee is 5$. There will be a small canteen on site. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a member of the Golden Age Club or not, young and young and heart, everyone is welcome to come If you are a musician and singer interested in performing, please contact Dennis Hackett at 418-358-5022. Please bring your musical instruments. Join us for an fun & entertainment evening while encouraging our local musicians.
