Bicycle maintenance workshop On Saturday May 13th at 1:00 p.m, all cyclists are welcome to a bicycle maintenance workshop to be given by Mr. Denis Roy in the basement of the Douglastown Community Center. This is the ideal opportunity to get your bicycle in good working order for the spring. All tools will be provided. Voluntary contribution.

Board Game Evening On Sunday May 14th at 7:00 p.m., get together for a board game evening at the Douglastown Community Center. Come alone or bring a friend and your favorite games. The $2 grilled cheeses will be back.

 Tree giveaway and Community Breakfast On Sunday May 21st from 8:00 a.m to 10:30 a.m., we welcome everyone to the Douglastown Community Centers’ monthly breakfast. Join friends and neighbors for an excellent breakfast with a traditional menu. A voluntary contribution of $7 for adults (12 & over), $4 for children (5-11 years) would be appreciated (ages 4 and under, free).

Looking for small trees to plant? From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., volunteers will be present for the annual Ministère des Forêts free tree distribution. There will be larch, white pine, red pine, yellow birch, red maple, sugar maple and hybrid poplar available.

Happy Hour On Friday May 26th at 5:00 p.m., the Douglastown Community Centers’ Happy Hour is a great opportunity to get together with old friends or make new ones. Bring your refreshments and a dish to share. A voluntary contribution would be appreciated.

Unprecedented Comedy Theater in Douglastown After twenty months of script writing and rehearsals, the twelve actors of the bilingual comedy play Nuisances are ready to perform! The play will be on stage at the Holy Name Hall, on Friday May 26th and Saturday May 27th at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, May 28th at 2:00 p.m. Don’t miss this production that illustrates some of the issues of our bilingual and Gaspesian environment, notably on life conditions of independent seniors with strong personalities. Adults: $15. Students: $10.

Yoga Classes Yoga classes will be offered from April 24th to May 25th. You can sign up for the entire 5-week session for $45 or pay $10 per course. Power yoga: Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. till 6:30 p.m. Sivananda yoga: Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. To register or if you have any questions, please call 418-360-5037 or send us an e-mail at  yogagaspésie@gmail.com.
