Hello to all the community,
The Douglas Community Centre takes the current situation on Covid-19 and its possible consequences very seriously. It is everyone’s duty to take the necessary precautions to limit the spread of the virus. It’s a public health issue.
The Board and the management team made the decision to close the various buildings of the centre (the main building including the Dougtown Café and the hostel, the Trachy hall as well as the ice rink) for an undetermined period of time. All of the center’s activities are suspended, including room rental, access to showers and the laundry room.
In addition, management is encouraged to work from home when possible. We therefore encourage the public to contact us by email: firstname.lastname@example.org, by phone: 418 368 0288 or Messenger: centre communautaire douglas community center. We encourage the population to limit the comings and goings to the community center.
It should be noted that we remain a base for Le Bon Pain (Wednesdays) and for Mont-Café (date to be determined). We invite people who have symptoms or who have been in contact with people with symptoms to stay at home.
We will be in touch with you over the next few weeks to keep you updated.
